In the MESC 2026 semi-final, Matthew Cilia & The AfterParty brought a raw, high-octane energy with their industrial pop-rock entry, “Brutality Mentality.” Bathed in aggressive black and red lighting with flashing LEDs, the performance featured Matthew backed by a live drummer, guitarist, and three dancers. His vocal delivery was gritty and powerful, perfectly matching the song’s driving rhythm and smoke-filled finale.
Having successfully qualified for the Grand Final on January 17, they will perform in the #11 slot. Their unique contribution is a rare, guitar-driven rock presence that injects a bold, rebellious spirit into this year’s competition.
